Radio Laria Poetry Celebrates Ten Years of Girls on Key Poetry with Anne Carson and Poetpre

  • Open Studio 204 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

This September, we will celebrate Girls on Key poetry with fantastic features from Anne Carson and Poetpre, as well as open mic (ten slots available, sign up on the night). In 2014 Anna Forsyth launched the first ever Girls on Key, which included a feature from the internationally acclaimed Anne Carson. Radio Laria Poetry was born from Girls on Key and ten years later, we are still running strong at the same venue: the much-loved Open Studio (Northcote). Girls on Key gathers women and gender diverse poets from all over the world for online gigs and publishes unique poetry books. It will be very special to hear from Anne Carson who in the last ten years has published Massaging Himler and The Detective’s Chair. We are also honoured to be featuring the candid, inspiring Poetpre. Poetpre works hard in the poetry community both on the Mother Tongue committee, and for the current Sonic Poetry Festival.
