Cherry Poets is open for business during the festival with our famous open mic and weekly features. We are also planning to have a poets table open during the festival with books/zines/merchandise from attending poets.
This week’s feature is Lane Milburn.
Part-time hobby hopper and full-time multidisciplinarian, Lane Milburn is a writer, spoken-word performer, and visual artist committed to creative expansion through curious and honest expression. Lane's whiplash style language probes at our place in the world and how to enjoy it to the fullest. With quirky symbolism and quick wit, he relates to humanity, nature and landscape through a hedonistic lens. Champion of the 2023 Slamalamadingdong season, finalist in the Australian National Youth Poetry Slam and 2nd in the Melbourne heat of UNESCO International Slam-O-Vision, he is also 5'5 and-a-half inches tall, caffeinated, rarely on time, and currently seeking a cure for the Third Person Perspective.
